UNIFORCE™ Glove Technology

DYNEEMA® by DSM is a High Performance Polyethylene (HPPE) fiber that offers maximum strength combined with minimum weight for the highest level of comfort - it is the world’s strongest fiber. DYNEEMA® is up to 15 times stronger than quality steel, and up to 40% stronger than aramid fibers on a weight-for-weight basis. According to US and EU safety guidelines, gloves made of engineered yarns that incorporate DYNEEMA® fibers offer the highest degree of protection against abrasion while allowing the glove construction to remain lightweight. On a weight-for-weight basis, gloves made with DYNEEMA® offer twice the level of protection demanded by the highest class in EN 388 standards. Gloves that incorporate DYNEEMA® conduct heat and moisture dispersion better than other materials, and are resistant to moisture, UV light and chemicals. DYNEEMA® is unaffected by water or detergents and can be washed and re-used without any loss of cut resistance.

By utilizing materials such as DYNEEMA® (the world’s strongest fiber!) 2ND-SKINZ™ tactical gloves provide the highest degree of protection against cuts and abrasion while remaining incredibly light, flexible, and form fitting. 2ND-SKINZ™ also provide superior heat and moisture dispersion and are 100% washable.  
     
PITTARDS PARADOS™ is a UNIFORCE™ exclusive leather tanning technology that imparts glove leather with resistance to chemicals such as hydrochloric/sulfuric acids, oil, gasoline and diesel. Initially the technology was developed for fire fighters’ glove leather to provide improved protection and safety, but the technology is now completely compatible with the WR100 leather product range. Tests have shown that the leather attains a level 5 oil repellence using the ATC 118-1192 test method. This enhances the appearance and performance of the leather over a longer period of time.  
     
BREATHE-O-PRENE® is an innovative material that utilizes a patented manufacturing process to create a laminate that breathes. Latex-free and adhesive-free, BREATHE-O-PRENE® laminates move moisture away from the skin leaving your body cooler and drier.  
     
KEVLAR® is an advanced high performance technology that combines high strength with lightweight, comfort and protection. Because of its unique combination of properties, KEVLAR® is used today in a wide variety of industrial applications. KEVLAR® is five times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis, yet, at the same time is lightweight, flexible, and comfortable. KEVLAR® provides low electrical conductivity, high resistance to chemicals, low thermal shrinkage, and high cut resistance. It is this unique combination of attributes that enable those who use it to perform to their fullest potential.  
     
HIPORA® is a breathable membrane that consists of a three-layer micro porous coating structure. The first layer prevents water penetration. The second layer consists of a honeycomb-like structure that achieves vapor permeability while resisting water penetration. The third layer has a very thin, dense structure that increases water resistance. HIPORA® inner glove meets O.S.H.A. standard (29cfr 1910.1030) for bloodborne pathogen resistance and at the same time allows perspiration dispersion.  
     
COOL MAX® has proven to reduce skin temperature, lower heart rates during exercise and maintain hydration, while offering excellent moisture management properties.  
     
ARMORTAN® is one of several new technologies introduced to the market to improve the abrasion resistance of basic glove leather. The fibril bundles are encased by microscopic ceramic “armor plates” which are more resistant to abrasion, thus increasing the durability of the leather by preventing wear on contact surfaces.  
     
AEGIS MICROBE SHIELD® Franklin’s use of the patented AEGIS MICROBE SHIELD® polymer effectively kills bacteria and eliminates odor due to perspiration. AEGIS MICROBE SHIELD® anti-microbial protects many of our gloves and guards against the bacteria that causes odors.  
     
Thinsulate™ Insulation provides exceptional warmth. Thinsulate™ Insulation provides 1 1/2 times the warmth of down and other high-loft insulation materials when equal thicknesses are compared. The thinness of Thinsulate™ Insulation makes it an ideal warming system for cold weather gloves.
